IWA-MS DVD Jan. 21, 2006 ‘’No Retreat, No Surrender'’ - Midlothian, IL

1. Trik Davis vs. Darin Corbin
2. Corporal Robinson vs. Marco Cordova
3. Claudio Castagnoli vs. Marek Brave
4. BJ Whitmer vs. CJ Otis
5. Lotus & Crazy J vs. Brandon Thomaselli & Eddie Kingston
6. Midwest Mafia vs. Chandler McClure & Trik Davis
7. Josh Abercrombie vs. Tyler Black
8. European Rounds Match - Chris Hero vs. Necro Butcher
9. Iron Saints vs. Matt Sydal & Delirious
10. NO DQ Falls Count Anywhere -Jimmy Jacobs vs. Arik Cannon

*** Big ups on this show to Lotus & Crazy J, plus the Josh Abercrombie vs. Tyler Black match. Strong stuff from hero/Butcher as far as both guys go, and Matt Sydal is pretty damn awesome.

IWA-MS DVD Dec. 30, 2005 ‘’2005 Revolution Strong Style Tournament'’ - Streamwood, IL

1. Claudio Castagnoli vs. Trik Davis
2. Tank vs. Samoa Joe
Joe managed to make Tank look good. Fun little match.
3. BJ Whitmer vs. Corporal Robinson
4. Chris Hero vs. Ian Rotten
I have heard people talk about Ian Rotten’s mat abilities. I like when he works these kinds of matches as opposed to the garbage wrestling. Lots of holds and stretching and arm work and it’s what wrestling should be about to some degree. But Ian isn’t exactly GREAT at it. Unathletic, moves poorly, he can certainly lay there and be stretched. Don’t matter none cuz I like Ian Rotten anyway.
5. Bull Pain vs. Jimmy Jacobs
Jimmy Jacobs is a bastard.
6. Larry Sweeney vs. Delirious vs. Colt Cabana
Good comedy match.
7. Eddie Kingston vs. Necro Butcher
Wow! Eddie Kingston eats some nasty meat hooks from The Necro Butcher.
8. Daizee Haze vs. Mickie Knuckles ***1/2
Best women’s match of the year. Most interesting by far, IMO. And I am in love with Daizee Haze.
9. BJ Whitmer vs. Necro Butcher
Can BJ be the dullest dude in the business?
10. Josh Abercrombie, Vito & Brandon Thomaselli vs. Matt Sydal, Tyler Black & Marek Brave
A pretty good elimination match with a solid angle, and a good finish. Matt Sydal is real good, and pRon moustache Josh Ambercrombi is the sleaziest dude in wrestling today.
11. Chris Hero vs. Necro Butcher
Bad finish to a bad show obverall as far as expectations./ This match was decent, slow most of the way, insightfu;l, but with a shit finish. And Samoa Joe pulling out after his first round matxh due to a bad ankle did nothing but make this show possibly rhe worst (due to expectations) show of the year for me..

IWA-MS DVD Jan. 12, 2006 ‘’Necro/Joe II'’ - Midlothian, IL

1. Eddie Kingston vs. Marek Brave
2. Colt Cabana vs. Darin Corbin vs. Larry Sweeney
Great comedy match, again.
3. Claudio Castagnoli vs. Ian Rotten
Ian Rotten again working with a “high workrate” individual. Lots of mat work and Ian is OK with it but again a little too rotund to be athletic enough. Not crisp. Still, you have to give him credit for going out there and working this way. Good match over-all.
4. Tyler Black vs. Josh Abercrombie
These two cats have supposedly been putting on good matche over the past few months, this one solid as well.
5. The Iron Saints vs. Team Underground
6. Trik Davis vs. Chris Hero
Either Hero isn’t giving Trik anything, or Trik doesn’t have anything. And from what I have seen so far I believe it is the latter. A good match nonetheless, but all Hero.
7. Jimmy Jacobs vs. Arik Cannon
Good match, good finish, some good comedy. Jimmy jacobs, gotta love to hate him in IWA-MS.
8. Necro Butcher vs. Samoa Joe
What a tough match to try and evaulate. It was much better then their first match in many ways, less psychotic as well which could be a drawback. But it was memorable except for the interference which I thought cost it some points. But stiff as hell and what you would expect from these two guys.

IWA-MS 12.17.05 ‘’Big Ass Christmas Bash'’ - Hammond, IN

1. CJ Otis vs Van Hughes
2. Larry Sweeney vs Darin Corbin
The IWC/IWA Texarkansas Title vs. The Best Title Belt Ever storyline begins here.
3. Dysfunction vs Ryan Cruz
4. Jigsaw & Hallowicked vs Lotus & Crazy J
Great tag match, keeps kreeping into my thoughts at times. Irish Airborne a tag team of the future IMO.
5. Jimmy Jacobs vs Chris Sabin
Dusty finish and could have been better considering the talent.
6. Kevin Steen vs Arik Cannon
I continue to get the impression Kevin Steen is overhyped.
7. Super Dragon vs El Generico
Wow! What a great match this turned out. Super Dragon is the penultimate heel.
8. 5 on 5 Survivor Series Match: New Jack, Necro Butcher, Ian Rotten, Nate Webb & Corporal Robinson vs Eddie Kingston, Josh Abercrombie, Brandon, Vito & Sal Thomaselli
This was ridiculous. But I believe it is the match where Ian “injures” Sal Thomaselli’s ankle. he wears a cast and uses crutches the next two IWA-MS events.

IWA-MS Christmas Carnage 12.16.05

IWA-MS Christmas Carnage 12/16/05

1. Nate Webb vs Hillbilly Jed
Bowling pins have more flexibility then Hillbilly Jed.

2. CJ Otis vs Van Hughes
I see something in CJ Otis. Like a car tire he must have swallowed. Still, I was smitten with his boyish charm.
3. The Iron Saints vs Lotus & Crazy J
Irish Airborne are my rookie tag team of the year. They probably don’t qualify as rookies but I THINK they just started getting better bookings as opposed to HWA. Seen them in ROH as well.
4. Larry Sweeney vs Ryan Cruz vs Trik Davis vs Darin Corbin
Awful match.
5. “American Dragon” Bryan Danielson vs Jigsaw
OK, but I was hoping for better.
6. Arik Cannon vs Hallowicked
Arik Cannon needs to lose some weight. That spandex can’t even hide his handlebar d’amour He seems like a carbon copy of Chris hero. I have seen some of his stuff, and he certainly has improved since I first saw in in 2003(?)
7. New Jack vs Jimmy Jacobs
Funny as fuck. But typical. I like the Wolverine claws, first time I seen them, and the orange camouflage is a better look for new jack. Now his little backpack is kinda cute, but I wouldn’t tell him that face to face.
8. Ian Rotten, Matt Sydal & Delirious vs Eddie Kingston, Josh Abercrombie & Brandon Thomaselli
Ian on the mic is always so much fun. He deserves more recognition then he gets. This clusterfuck wasn’t all that much except a build for the next nights show.
9. Barbed Wire Bat Match: Bull Pain vs Brandon Prophet
This was a squash. There was probably a better match that could have gone here and put this match early.
10. No Rope Barbed Wire Match: Necro Butcher & Toby Klein vs Deranged & Brain Damage
I was definitely sold on this match to some degree, but then I put it up against CZW’s CoD7 from this year and some of the Big Japan deathmatches, and it’s typical stuff. Big ups to Necro Butcher who turns in a great performance everytime, outshining people even when the playing field is very equal. Brain Damage also looked good taking some stiff shots and bumps.
