I’m totally digging the shit out of this promotion’s divas title tourney and division. The fact Fit Finlay is coming in to tighten up the male roster is good too, looking forward to those matches. This was a great event to watch, big ups to Tajiri. The two womens matches were unbelievably good.

—————-

NOW i AM TURNED ON BY A NEW WRESTLING PROMOTION, smash! CAPS LOCK sorry, SMASH! Yewah, its pretty good. You have to get past the occasional old legends match, like with Tenryu or Fujinami, and some of the guys are a bit weird, like Veneno, but the few shows I have seen have me hooked. Why? Great womens matches. Foreign wrestlers. Tajiri. AKIRA. Yes, even Zeus. You would know what I mean if you watched this stuff but I am going to start follwoing it on a regular basis, see if I can catch the first bunch of shows that I missed. The Kana/Shuri match here is good and so is Serena vs Makoto. If you want to be entertained you will not be dissapointed by SMASH.

DDT DRAMATIC FANTASIA #325

JAPAN #6485 DDT on SAMURAI TV May-June 2011 Q:ORIGINAL (2 hrs) *DVD*

1. Kenny Omega -vs- Makoto Oishi.

2. Seiya Morohashi -vs- Antonio Honda.

3. KUDO -vs- Yasu Urano.

4. Hikaru Sato -vs- Tomomitsu Matsunaga.

6. HARASHIMA -vs- MIKAMI.

7. Shigehiro Irie -vs- Keisuke Ishii.

8. Kota Ibushi -vs- Michael Nakazawa.

———-

I started watching the DDT because I liked it from the past and wanted to see what was going on in the current product. I loved it. At first, I was hesitant but after watching the KO-D tournament, Dick Togo -vs- Shuji Ishikawa. *KO-D Title, anything with Kota Ibushi, the antics of Danshoku Dino, KUDO, MIKAMI, the Harashima / HERO angle which to me is one of the most interesting angles from 2011, and so much more. I suggest people try out watching DDT and see if they like it, because it has alot of good angles that you dont need to speak the language to understand and the matches are mostly good to great when they want them to be.

I really like Shigehiro Irie, along with almost the entire roster.

The Rumble matrch was also very very good, as was MKIAMI vs. HARASHIMA.

the matches on top were ok, good flow to the whole show. i was sad that the legends match was clipped. nice to see Jaguar Yokota and Dump Matsumoto.

Kyoko Kimura vs. Leon was really good.

Haily Hatred vs good, first time seeing her wrestle, Tsubasa is a bad ass as always.

main event is great

i downloaded this on a whim,, and I am glad I got to watch while I waited at the doctors office. not a must-see card but damn if those matches werent as good as some main events from major companies.

would I watch Vol 2???? No. I watch the occasional lucha just for fun, but over-all I just don’t like the rules(or lack thereof), the referees, the fat-ass luchadores, the 2 out of 3 matches that always end in one very fast contrived double or triple pin, then a win by the other side, then a deciding win, ussually one where I dont even know how the guy won.

I like weird submissions, high flying, the girls, the masks…. so, I dunno when it comes to lucha, but hey all I can say is I watched this dvd. Now to put it away forever.

Best match: none really, they were all OK but I was extremely impressed with Hector Garza, who I know has had success here in the US with TNA. Pretty impressed with his abilities and his look as well. Latin Lover was also OK but his schtick is very goofy.

Love La Parka.
